Chocolate Muffins (Less sugar)

Cup cakes

Ingredients:

  • All Purpose Flour – 2 cups
  • Sugar – 1 + 1/3rd cup
  • Eggs – 3 large
  • Unsweetened Cocoa (Hersheys) – 1/2 cup
  • Baking soda – 1 tea spoon
  • Baking powder – 3/4th tea spoon
  • Salt – 1/2 tea spoon (we used raw in the sugar)
  • Buttermilk – 3/4th cup (or you can use 3/4 cup milk + lemon)
  • Warm water – 3/4th cup
  • Vegetable oil – 1/4th cup
  • Butter – 1/4th cup
  • Vanilla extract – 1 tea spoon

Instructions:

  1. Beat eggs till they are frothy
  2. Add vegetable oil, butter, vanilla extract, buttermilk, warm water and mix with the egg beater
  3. Add sugar and continue to beat with the beater till it is well mixed liquid
  4. Mix flour, coco powder, baling soda, baking powder and salt in a bowl with a spoon
  5. Slowly while mixing the batter, add the flour mix to the batter through a sifter
  6. Mix with the electric cake batter mixer for at least 4 – 5 mins
  7. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
  8. Put it in the baking tray and bake for 35 – 40 mins. If you are making cup cakes, it will only take 30 mins.
  9. Check it with a tooth pick, if the cake is sticky from inside, you make need to keep it for 5 more minutes.

Your cup cakes are ready!
